Sand Fields produce sand stones which are the necessary material for constructing and upgrading buildings.  
 
How to obtain sand stones:
First, build a Brick Kiln to store sand stones. For more information refer to Buildings in City.

Second, build a sand field in the outskirts of the city. For more information refer to Buildings in Suburbs.

Each upgrade on the 2 buildings will improve sand stone production.

Another way to obtain sand stones is through trade. When you post an order in the market, the system will help you make your purchase automatically.
 
You can view sand stone production info on the right-hand side of the interface.

Production per hour = Basic Production + No-Battle Bonus + Item Bonus + Archon Bonus + Science Bonus + Occupancy Taxes (Taxes won't be imposed if the city is not occupied)

Fluctuations in production are mainly influenced by Archon's light attribute.
